BroncoDirect/PeopleSoft has been experiencing poor performance due to an increase in volume across the entire CSU System as many campuses started school today..This problem has been addressed by adding additional resources to increase capacity.  BroncoDirect/PeopleSoft performance has improved, but many are still experiencing slowness.

Summary:
Information Technology will be performing planned maintenance on the campus network on Friday, August 22, 2014.  Depending upon the building and the time of day, users working on campus may experience intermittent network outages lasting from 50 to 90 minutes. Off campus access to campus systems and websites is not affected. 

Who is affected?
Only on campus users will experience outages of wired and wireless service during the times listed below. Users from off-campus are not affected.

Schedule & Buildings Affected:
Network outages will occur throughout the day between the hours of 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Refer to the list of buildings and scheduled outage times for specific area service interruptions. Start and end times are estimates only; outages may occur earlier or later than the times listed.  All maintenance is scheduled to be completed by 5:00pm.

Group 1 – Outage between 11:00 am to 2pm
Buildings Affected: 13, 15, 26, 28, 29, 41, 43, 45, 48, 49, 67, 75, 81, 83, 86, 89, 91, 91a, 98, 106, 109, 209, 211

Group 2 – Outage between 12 noon to 3pm
Buildings Affected: 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 35, 46, 92, 94, 95, 97, 111, 112, 116, 164, 220a, 220b, 220c, 301

Group 3 – Outage between 1:00 pm to 4pm
Buildings Affected: 20-23, 52, 54, 60-63, 69, 70, 71 57-59, Rec Center Construction, Village

Group 4 – Outage between 2:00 pm to 5:00pm
Buildings Affected: 4, 5, 7, 24, 24e, 25, 30, 32, 34, 55, 66, 76, 77, 79, 79a, 79b, 193

PeopleSoft available

The issues with PeopleSoft have been resolved.  All PeopleSoft services are now available. If you have any questions, contact the Cal Poly Pomona Help Desk during standard business hours.

PeopleSoft is unavailable.  Several CSU campuses are affected by this unplanned outage. Any services requiring PeopleSoft, including those involved in student registration, fee payments and employee absence reporting, are not available.

As of 12:30 PM all I&IT file services have resumed normal operations.
Access to BroncoDirect/PeopleSoft has been restored.
Due to the service outage, access to BroncoDirect/PeopleSoft is currently unavailable while the file services are offline.
On Monday, July 15th at approximately 11:28 AM I&IT became aware of a service disruption to campus file services. This outage affected approximately 25% of all individual users and groups as well as a number of campus web pages for approximately 20 minutes.

At 12:00 (noon) a second file server experienced a service interruption and is in the process of restarting.

As of this post approximately 50% of all campus user accounts would have experienced a service outage related to file services. I&IT is in the process of returning the servers to normal operations.

The Exchange Public Folders issue has been fixed and the service is back on line.

The Public Folder function of Exchange is expected to be down for at least another two hours as I&IT technicians work with various software utilities to repair corrupted data that contains the Public Folder information.  Updates will be posted on this site as information becomes available.
